October New Moon Women's Collective

How can we use the natural energy of the Universe to aid us on our journey for self-knowing & self-fulfillment? The New Moon Women's Collective is intended for women who are interested in learning more about the natural energies surrounding us. For this Fall/Winter Series we will discuss different energy bodies and how to work with them to build our own personal "Sadhana" or spiritual practices. We will join together in community to have open conversations about being women in this Age of Aquarius. Set intentions for personal commitment and growth toward your individual prosperity during each moon cycle.

The Chakra System Demystified: 5th Chakra through the 8th Chakra

Learn the basics about what a Chakra is and what it means to your body and personal energy. We will cover topics ranging from the qualities, shadows and talents of each of the upper four chakras and discuss how to balance a chakra with embodied movement and meditation. Each class will have an optional personal homework or "Sadhana" practice for the current moon cycle to begin a deeper and richer path to self-discovery.

Aubrey Zinaich is a local restauranteur, sommelier and Kundalini yoga teacher who is passionate about helping all people find their inner truth. Her special interests include mantra, moon cycles, manifesting, sound current, Kundalini & Buddhist meditation. Aubrey is inspired by the works of Thich Nhat Hanh and Guru Nanak. She enjoys spending time connecting with like-minded people in her community & working toward creating a more tolerant and open environment where all people can come together to have a voice.

Durham Candle Company will be at Indio this Saturday, November 17th, from 1-4. Diana will have an array of hand-poured pure beeswax candles available for purchase, and she’ll be carving luminaries on-site. All DCC candles are poured in Diana’s South Durham workshop, where she strives toward a zero waste process by reusing all wax scraps, remelting spent candles, and even sourcing as much recycled packaging as possible. Her goal is to spread a little light and joy with each candle she makes.

**Diana is a textile artist and apparel design instructor who just happens to really love beeswax, which is why she started Durham Candle Company in 2017. It is a small scale operation, driven by love, and she only sells her candles in person a few times per year around the holidays.**
